Beaver Lake is hosting its 4th Mid-Winter Blues Run. The Nature Center has become a favorite location for outdoor enthusiasts to pursue fitness activities such as running. In an effort to encourage year round outdoor activity and help bridge the gap from fall to spring, Beaver Lake has organized this event. The run is 5K and it begins and ends at the Visitor Center, using nearby country roads. All proceeds benefit the Nature Center. The run is open to all ages and the entry price of $20 includes a long sleeved t-shirt for the first 100 entrants. Winners will be awarded in various age categories.

Jingle Bell Run/Walk is a fun and festive way to kick off your holidays by helping others! Wear a holiday themed costume. Tie jingle bells to your shoelaces. Run or walk a 5 kilometer route with your team members and celebrate the season by giving.

Enjoy this special walking preview of Lights on the Lake before it opens to vehicles only. The park will be open from 5-9pm and visitors can choose to park at either the Wegmans Landing (Griffin Visitor Center), Salt Museum or Willow Bay lots. Walkers can cover as much of the two mile stretch as they desire and should dress for the weather. Holiday characters will be on the trail and refreshments will be available for sale. Cars are not allowed on the trail for this special evening but will be admitted to the show beginning Tuesday, November 24. Please leave pets at home.
