Join Mike Allen, Sr. Wildlife Technician of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation for this PowerPoint presentation concerning the nationally recognized bald eagle restoration program in New York State. The presentation will touch on the history of the project from its fledgling beginnings in the mid-1970s, through the astounding recovery that this magnificent species is enjoying at the present time. Mike has been involved with this effort since the program began in 1975 and has spent thousands of hours monitoring bald eagles in their natural habitat. After the presentation a buffet lunch of beef stroganoff, tossed salad and dessert will be provided offering participants a chance to talk informally with the presenter.
