The Friends of Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery Stocking Hot Line will begin operating Thursday, March 20. The Hatchery will begin its annual stocking runs throughout Onondaga County in late March and will continue until all the fish are released. The hot line will be updated every Thursday and provide information from the proceeding week. Anglers can call 689-0003 to find out how many fish are stocked in their favorite streams.

Discount Bike Rentals for Seniors

In honor of May being Older Americans Month all seniors (62+) will get a 20% discount on all bike rentals at McKies Rentals at Onondaga Lake Park. The shop is located next to the Griffin Visitor Center. Visit website below for hours and prices.

Weekend Canoeing & Kayaking

$2 per vehicle park admission; Rental rates are $8 for the first hour and $2 for each additional hour

Enjoy a leisurely paddle on your own around Beaver Lake. Explore the lake's edge and search for beaver lodges, turtles, herons and osprey. Paddlers may bring their own canoe or rent one from the Visitor Center. ental is on a first-come basis.  Canoes will not be permitted to launch after 4 pm. All canoes must be off the lake by 5 pm You must register at the canoe dock. Canoeing is subject to safe conditions and we reserve the right to cancel. 

In addition to weekends, the canoe/kayak dock will be open Monday holidays.
