Bird banding is an effective way for researchers to monitor bird populations trends and examine vital rates such as survival, productivity and recruitment that cannot be obtained in other ways. Join Alison Kocek and Michelle Stantial, Onondaga Audubon Board Members and SUNY-ESF Ph.D. students, as they demonstrate avian capture, handling, and banding techniques and explain how information gained from this process aids in directing avian conservation efforts across the globe.
