New event for 2026! Forest to Flapjacks invites the community to an early spring morning featuring a delicious pancake breakfast, cooked up by the Apulia Fire Department, a horse drawn wagon ride, with CNY Carriage Co, and a live maple sugaring demonstration by the Highland Forest staff. Visitors can choose to participate in one, two or all three of the activities taking place each day of the event. No reservations, first-come, first-served. Cash only.

Maple Sugarbush Tours • 8am - 1pm • Free
Learn about the sugaring process from park staff. Approx. 1/2 mile from Skyline Lodge.
Visitors may walk or take the wagon ride.

Horse Drawn Wagon Rides • 8am - 1pm • $10; under 5 free
Ride is a 1 mile loop, approximately 20 minutes.

Pancake Breakfast • 9am-12pm • $10; $8 senior (65+); $6 child (under 12)
Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee.
