Teams assemble and launch a real model rocket, carrying a raw egg, their eggstronaut, as payload. The rocket must deploy a parachute, land safely, and ideally return the eggstronaut intact. Junior teams compete for the highest altitude; senior teams win by most accurately predicting their rocket's altitude before launch using simulation software. Students also complete a judges' interview on rocket science, Newton's Laws, and flight phases. Open to teams in Grades 4-12. Registration closes 5/24/26.
