Join members of the Central New York Mycological Society for an afternoon dedicated to wild mushrooms. Come learn about edible and poisonous mushrooms, as well as their important role in the forest ecosystem as parasites, pathogens, and decomposers. Activities include a mushroom display; mushroom identification by experts; free mushroom food; and mushroom themed items and books for sale.
Guided hikes will take place at 1 PM and 2:30 PM. Walks are limited to the first 25 registrants. Registration for walks opens at 10 AM on Saturday, October 12; call 315-638-2519 to register.
